Job Description

The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.

We are seeking a Senior Director who is passionate about nurturing world-class talent, thrives in a fast-paced sales environment, deeply curious about how effective marketing drives business growth, enthusiastic about building and maintaining senior customer relationships, and can inspire those around them whilst upholding LinkedIn's Culture & Values. You will lead a team that looks after some of LMS' largest, most strategic accounts with a US-based team, reporting to the Vice President of Strategic Accounts. This leader must have experience transforming go to market models, strong expertise navigating cross functional partnerships and the ability to manage a large, distributed cross functional team in a dynamic environment. The leader's success will be measured by their ability to grow wallet share, design and implement innovative programs that create indispensability and longevity in our global and regional strategic account relationships. We place emphasis on deep understanding of customer value and our leaders' ability to solution design based on their knowledge of the industry, customer growth drivers, and the unique value of LinkedIn's ecosystem. Ideal candidates will have a background in business strategy as well as crafting and selling digital media solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and nurture a high performing team.
  • Partner with Marketing, Measurement & Insights, Solutions Specialists, Brand Strategy teams to hone deep industry insights across key verticals such as Financial Services, Auto, and Tech and create winning strategies to grow market share across diverse buying groups and marketing objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross functional partners including legal, Strategic Finance, GTM Operations on partnership strategies, sales process, and business models to achieve revenue goals.
  • Build and maintain productive, sustaining relationships across clients and industry partners.
  • Generate scalable, repeatable and predictable revenue streams.
  • Lead and coach a team of managers responsible for the development growth of Account Directors and Client Solutions Managers.
  • Responsible for meeting quarterly and annual revenue account targets by owning the sales strategy from semi-annual planning to execution.
  • Provide accurate and timely management information, revenue forecasts, reports and analysis, and ensure clear communication to executive leadership team and stakeholders.
  • Represent LinkedIn in key industry events as a regular speaker and thought leader.
  • Embrace LinkedIn's values, and nurture a team culture of trust, diversity, inclusion, and belonging.

 

    Qualifications

    Basic Qualifications:

    • 15+ years of experience in the digital advertising industry
    • 10+ years of leadership experience

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • A track record of developing and managing leaders and senior ICs
    • Proven experience at building and running successful sales teams, particularly those growing large, established accounts.
    • Demonstrated success in sales strategy, category development, planning, and execution.
    • Strong collaborator that works well cross functionally, across the company, and externally.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and work in a rapidly changing environment.
    • Ability to inspire creativity throughout the organization.
    • A high degree of analytical acumen and demonstrated ability to project and assess the commercial impact of current and proposed sales practices.
    • C-Suite Relationships - Experience forging relationships with the c-suite and key stakeholders across large-scale, global companies.
    • Experience working with Financial Services, Auto, and Tech clients is a plus.

    The pay range for this role is $385,000-$587,000 OTE. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
