This role will be based in Dublin.
The Director, HR Business Partners - Consulting and Solutions (HRBP C&S), is responsible for ensuring a high performing HRBP team by supporting the growth, development, and performance of HRBPs in a centralised HR operating model. This is achieved through ensuring role clarity, clear performance expectations, and stakeholder management/partnership – with a focus on global consistency, regional nuance, and process optimisation. The role will partner with and influence across the Global Talent Organization and business functions.
The Director will report to the Sr Director, HR Business Partners - Consulting & Solutions and lead a regional team responsible for driving team effectiveness, performance management initiatives, as well as talent management initiatives and processes. The successful candidate will have strong HR business partnering experience, deep understanding of HR operating models and working in a centralised model, be driven and self-directed, have strong management capability, and demonstrate operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a regional HRBP team through recruiting, coaching, training, resourcing, and team building.
- Set and execute the strategic and operational direction for LinkedIn’s regional HRBP C&S team.
- Serve as the subject matter expert bringing awareness to global stakeholders and partners regarding regional business context, organizational insight, and nuance.
- Create clear two-way communication between HRBP C&S and Functional HRBPs on business priorities, manager trends, risks, and updates.
- Partner with Functional HRBP leaders to clarify roles, responsibilities, decision rights, and escalation paths across the HR operating model.
- Manage workload across the team during volume shifts, coverage needs, and urgent priorities while maintaining engagement.
- Coach HRBPs to prioritize effectively and balance enterprise consistency with LOB-specific needs, regional nuances, and practical manager support.
- Drive consistency across the team through team routines, calibration, knowledge sharing, and aligned judgment standards.
- Build strong relationships to influence decisions impacting the business and employees.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to design and scale HR processes.
- Identify operational efficiencies across talent processes, including annual reviews, engagement surveys, employee relations, and performance management.
- Lead the team to deliver accurate, timely service and continuously improve performance.
- Ensure adherence to service level agreements and deliver an exceptional experience for global and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Champion LinkedIn’s culture, values, mission, and vision as a role model for the team.
- Ensure all work aligns with applicable compliance rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 10+ years of progressive Human Resources experience required
- 5+ years experience in operationalising and executing talent initiatives in Ireland & UK
- 3+ years experience working in a highly-matrix and global organization, collaborating with multiple stakeholders
- 3+ years experience working in a multi-national company with particular experience across UKI and EU countries.
- 3+ years experience in a centralized HR support model
- 5+ years of direct people management experience or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience of managing a people manager (skip level leadership)
- Data-driven insights (market trends, internal talent and team data, etc.) to influence recommendations and outcomes
- Ability to manage, coach, mentor and motivate a diverse regional team while ensuring team and individual accountability and performance standards are met
- Strong executive presence
- Experience implementing HR and operational programs and strategies
- Background and familiarity with HR functional areas
- Ability to prioritize, multitask and manage multiple projects successfully in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivery of quality/accurate work products
- Logical reasoning and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and overcome challenges
- Proven leadership experience, with the maturity and ability to influence stakeholders and gain buy-in
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
