Job Description

This role will be based in Chicago, New York City, Sunnyvale or San Francisco.

The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team. 

We are looking for a Compensation Analyst to join our team in contributing to the development and implementation of region-wide compensation strategies, practices and processes. This role sits within the Compensation Operations and Excellence (COE) team and is responsible for delivering data-driven insights, developing scalable dashboards, and providing technical analytics support. 

This role blends compensation expertise with strong technical and analytics capabilities to enable better decision-making, improve data accessibility, and enhance the efficiency of compensation processes. 

Responsibilities:    

  • Analyze large, complex datasets to generate actionable insights and support compensation decision-making 
  • Build and maintain scalable dashboards, data models, and reporting solutions (e.g., Power BI) 
  • Create and manage high-quality, “single source of truth” datasets with strong data governance 
  • Automate workflows and enable self-service analytics for the key stakeholders 
  • Deliver compensation analysis and modeling to support program design and strategic recommendations 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:   

  • BA/BS degree in a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in compensation analytics, or people analytics 

Preferred Qualifications:   

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skillset, with the ability to translate complex data into clear business insights 
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and macros/VBA 
  • Proficiency in SQL for querying and working with large datasets 
  • Experience with data visualization and data modeling (e.g., Power BI or similar tools) 
  • Demonstrated collaboration skills and ability to work cross-functionally with business and technical teams 
  • Strong technical acumen with the ability to learn and apply new tools and systems quickly 
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)       
  • Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks and work within deadlines with little supervision

The pay range for this role is $71,000 to $115,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
