Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Oracle Applications Engineer to support and enhance our Order to Cash (OTC) platforms built on Oracle E-Business Suite (R12). This role is part of the enterprise application organization and is critical to ensuring the stability, scalability, and continuous improvement of revenue critical Oracle systems and their integrations with upstream order capture platforms and downstream finance systems.
The ideal candidate is an Oracle engineer who possesses ownership mindset, deep OTC domain expertise, and proven experience operating in high availability as well as finance critical production environments.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain custom Oracle EBS extensions using PL/SQL, Forms, Reports, OAF, Workflows, XML Publisher, and related Oracle toolsets.
Build and support custom Order Processing modules, including integrations with external order capture, checkout, and payment processing systems.
Ensure all customizations follow Oracle recommended frameworks and are optimized for upgrade and long-term maintainability.
Responsible for delivering enhancements in standard and custom finance modules within Finance Applications.
Translate functional requirements into technical designs, specifications, process flows, test strategiesand operational procedures.
Identify and document AI requirements to integrate intelligent automation into existing business processes.
Provide Techno-Functional skills in Oracle EBS R12 applications in the Order to Cash domain, including Order Management, Accounts Receivable, Service Contracts, Credit Management, Billing, and Revenue Recognition.
Improve craftsmanship at LinkedIn by developing best practices and defining best strategies.
Develop software that is unit tested, code reviewed and checked-in regularly for continuous integration.
Follow established change, release, and deployment of governance for Oracle EBS environments.
Conduct code and design reviews to maintain development standards.
Collaborate with cross-domain partner teams (Operations, Engineering teams, finance transformation, Finance team) to build a financial systems platform.
Drive continuous improvement through automation, monitoring, and reduction of manual finance efforts.
Ensure system reliability /data accuracy for revenue reporting and compliance requirements.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
BA/BS Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or related practical experience
5+ years' experience with Enterprise Software Implementation and Integration experience (including Architecture, Analysis, Design and Development Oracle Financial Applications).
5+ years of technical expertise in Order to Cash (OTC) processes including Order Management, Accounts Receivable, Billing, Credit Management, and Revenue Recognition.
Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on experience with PL/SQL, SQL*Plus, Oracle Forms, Reports, OAF, Workflows, XML Publisher, and related Oracle tools.
Strong understanding of Oracle table structures, APIs, open interfaces, schemas, and data models.
Proven experience supporting Oracle ERP integrations with external/3rdparty systems.
Strong experience in inbound and outbound interfaces, open interfaces, APIs, and data reconciliation processes.
Experience supporting online or digital order capture / checkout platforms integrated with Oracle ERP.
Exposure with payment processor integrations, settlement, and recon flows.
Exposure on Zuora – Revenue System, GetPaid – Credit/Collection Application and Vertex -Tax Engine.
Exposure to OBIEE, Discoverer, or other Oracle reporting tools.
Understanding Devops concepts (GitHub DevOps preferred). CI/CD, Test-driven development (TDD) and continuous improvement is a plus
Experience of taking up initiatives and execute tasks with full ownership and delivering agreed upon deliverables in a timely manner
Working knowledge of Java / Python for backend services or automation scripting.
Exposure to cloud-hosted Oracle environments or ERP modernization initiatives.
Experience with month end & quarter end close processes of Revenue (purchase orders, invoice processing, payments, vendor management) and R2R cycles (accounting, reconciliations, accruals).
Experience in AI-driven development using tools like GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar AI coding assistants for code generation, optimization, and accelerated delivery is a plus.
Experience in Oracle Fusion applications will be a plus.
