Job Description

The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.

This role will be based in San Francisco, New York or Sunnyvale. 

LinkedIn’s Business Development (BD) team plays a central role in accelerating our product roadmap and driving strategic growth across the Products & Services Marketplace. Through global partnerships, product integrations, and go-to-market initiatives, BD helps expand LinkedIn’s reach, engagement, and monetization.

The Go-to-Market (GTM) Strategy & Operations team works closely with BD to develop deep insights into partner strategy and performance, while also maintaining the operational infrastructure that enables the organization to scale effectively and run smoothly.

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Business Development Strategy & Ops Manager to drive high-impact partnerships, shape go-to-market strategies, and unlock new revenue opportunities that fuel the growth of LinkedIn Marketing Solutions. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to leaders across BD, Sales, and Product, providing performance assessments and actionable insights aimed at driving revenue growth through our partner ecosystem.

While this role is internal-facing and sits within the GTM Strategy & Operations team, it requires close collaboration with stakeholders across LinkedIn to ensure alignment and execution of strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities: 

Strategic Planning & Business Insights

  • Develop frameworks and methodologies to synthesize insights into actionable recommendations that inform long-term strategy.

  • Conduct in-depth customer, market, and competitive research to identify growth opportunities, value drivers, and areas for operational improvement.

Partnership Strategy & Execution

  • Define and execute partnership strategies that drive growth, engagement, and monetization across LinkedIn’s Marketing Solutions.

  • Identify high-impact partnership opportunities through data analysis and market intelligence, and build compelling business cases.

  • Work with stakeholders to support structuring partner agreements and go-to-market initiatives to drive value and/or close high-priority gaps across product and business. 

Operational Excellence & Performance Management

  • Lead operational processes including partner segmentation, product adoption strategy, financial planning, and dashboard/report development.

  • Enhance performance tracking capabilities by developing OKRs and KPIs that measure ROI and drive accountability across leadership.

  • Collaborate with operational teams to ensure alignment across our key metrics, measurement, and data tables.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate with Business Development, Product, Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Pricing to align strategic initiatives and drive business outcomes.

  • Present insights, recommendations, and strategic implications to senior executives and global stakeholders.

  • Build strong relationships across LinkedIn’s internal teams to foster collaboration and shared success

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or related practical experience in Business, Analytics or a related field

  • 6+ years of experience in management consulting, IT strategy consulting, investment banking, product strategy, business operations, or an analytical / operational role

  • 4+ years of experience with Excel and PowerPoint

  • 2+ year with experience in SQL 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • MBA Degree 

  • Experience working in the Business Development or Digital Advertising / Media space

  • Experience working with both Product and Sales teams.

  • Experience working in high-growth, performance-focused environments.

  • Motivation to challenge the status quo and continually innovate.

  • Ability to build strong partnerships and collaborate with stakeholders.

  • Ability to effectively solve complex problems from high priority strategic initiatives

LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.  

The pay range for this role is $126,000-$204,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
