Job Description

Productivity Engineering is a team at LinkedIn that builds products that power LinkedIn’s business. We drive technology vision, architecture, and design systems that help the company deliver major business processes (go-to-market, sales, finance, and customer support etc.). We deliver applications and products that let our customers do business with us in a seamless way, help grow our top line and increase our efficiency. 

As a Software Engineer, you will participate in feature development, be responsible for overall codebase quality by participating in design reviews, code reviews, setting coding guidelines and general technical discussion, as well as be a champion for automated testing!

The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.

Key Responsibilities: 

Dynamics 365 CRM Development: 

  •    Design, customize, deploy, and integrate Microsoft Dynamics CRM using both managed and unmanaged solutions.  
  •    Tailor CRM entities and implement business workflows and processes to optimize functionality.  

Plugin Development and CRM SDK Utilization: 

  •    Leverage the CRM SDK and plugin frameworks to enhance the capabilities of Dynamics 365. 
  •    Develop plugins using C# and .NET and implement client-side JavaScript/TypeScript with the Web API in model-driven applications. 

Power Apps and Power Platform Expertise: 

  •    Create model-driven applications and Customer Service Workspaces using Power Apps. 
  •    Utilize Power Automate, Dataverse, and other connectors to streamline processes. 

Dynamics Platform Updates: 

  •    Collaborate with the Microsoft team for monthly updates to the Dynamics platform. 
  •    Evaluate and enable new features and functionalities and communicate changes effectively. 

On-Call Support: 

  •    Provide L2 and L3 support for Dynamics 365 CRM issues. 
  •    Work closely with internal teams to resolve issues and enhance system performance. 

 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: 

  • BA/BS Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or related practical experience 

  • 2+ years of experience in software design, development, and algorithm related solutions. 

  • 2+ years of experience in Dynamics 365 CRM. 

  • 2+ years of experience in programming experience in C# or Java. 

  • 2+ years of experience with semantic HTML, CSS and object-oriented JavaScript. 

  • 2+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and current systems. 

  

  Preferred Qualifications: 

  • 2+ years of programming experience with Dynamics 365 CRM, specifically in Sales and Customer Service modules. Skilled in Microsoft Dynamics 365 (CE) projects, including requirements gathering, form design and configuration, workflow development, report and dashboard building, and application troubleshooting. 

  • Proficient in utilizing CRM SDK and plugin frameworks to enhance Dynamics 365 functionalities 

  • Proficient in modern JavaScript, TypeScript, or comparable programming languages 

  • Skilled in backend development utilizing C# or Java 

  • Experience in distributed (multi-tier) systems, algorithms, and relational databases 

  • Adept at system integration via APIs, including REST and SOAP interfaces, ETL transformations, and other integration methodologies 

  • Familiar with cloud technologies, particularly Microsoft Azure 

  • Skilled in unit and end-to-end testing frameworks 

  • Strong understanding of current frontend and backend architecture trends, best practices, performance, security, and scalability 

  • Familiarity and comfort with command-line applications, Git source control and other aspects of developing in large, distributed software teams 

  • Strong written and verbal communicator who is very organized and able to think entrepreneurially 

  • Experience with modern CI/CD pipelines and deployment 

  • Demonstrates effectiveness in cross-functional collaborative environments
