Job Description

The Manager, Sourcing Support, will support category managers by leading a team of sourcing associates within the Global Strategic Sourcing (GSS) organization. The manager will need to be proficient in sourcing tools and processes and have an in-depth understanding of our procurement policy. This role also requires a solid understanding and ability to execute sourcing processes and practices to ensure associates and senior associates complete assigned workload accurately.  

The Manager, Sourcing Support role is responsible for managing junior and senior sourcing associates and providing direction and oversight over contract negotiations, supplier relationship management activities, and data analytics for designated categories. The Manager, Sourcing Support will play a pivotal role in developing talent and allocating resources while ensuring a delightful experience for internal and external teams across Source-To-Pay. 

This role requires expertise in strategic sourcing methodologies related to various indirect sourcing categories to aid in providing oversight and direction to associates as they support market analysis and sourcing events.  

Responsibilities:  

  • Allocate resources, prioritize requests and manage bandwidth, as applicable, to deliver support to the organization 
  • Train and supervise team and oversee the drafting of contracts (as directed)  
  • Solid understanding and ability to communicate sourcing processes and practices to associates and senior associates  
  • Oversee and guide associates in the development of supplier business review documents for all indirect material categories  
  • Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams (inside and outside Global Strategic Sourcing as supported by leadership) 
  • Ensures the team provides correct and accurate financial and/or market insights to category teams, and supports the business in making informed decisions about a supplier’s product and/or service (as directed)  
  • Proficient in using analytical tools and software for sourcing activities and financial evaluation to guide associates in day-to-day tasks  
  • Oversee associates work quality as it relates to onboarding activities and other ad hoc tasks  
  • Step-in and cover for requests from the business category managers as applicable 
  • Be a champion for change that can act decisively to drive decisions, while demonstrating agility to support the evolution of business needs 

Qualifications

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain, Finance or related field  
  • 8+ years’ experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or data analytics 
  • 3+ years of experience into people management

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Ability to communicate with senior management 
  • Previous people management experience 
  • Proficiency in sourcing software and contracting tools (e.g. Coupa, Zip, Contract Lifecycle Management System (CLM) and Oracle) 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities 
  • Exceptional attention to detail to ensure the highest level of work quality  
  • Experience in strategic sourcing within a specific industry (e.g. technology or consulting) 
  • Excellent communication, analytical, leadership and negotiating skills 
  • Experience in Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools  
  • Collaborative and successful in internal & external relationship development 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
