This role is based out of New York City. 

The Sales Operations Senior Manager is a key business advisor who will function as a “chief of operations” to our Talent & Learning Solutions customer business, partnering with the leader (Senior Director) of our North America business. 

The role is focused on enabling our world-class field sales team to be as productive as possible. This person will help executives and sales management make data-driven decisions by providing reporting, analysis, and insights from LinkedIn’s customer and sales data.  

They will be a key member of both the assigned sales leaders’ regional leadership team and the Global Clients Program SOPs leadership team and will partner on regional and global efforts and initiatives. 

We are looking for a business and people leader with strong quantitative, problem solving, communication, and project management skills. The ideal candidate can effectively communicate with executives and collaborate with a variety of people and job functions, accomplishing tasks of high complexity and scope, and perform professionally in a challenging, ambiguous, and fast-paced environment. They will be able to handle confidential and non-routine information supporting a rapidly changing organization. We're seeking a leader who can recognize opportunities to drive business growth or improve processes and who can lead a team to bring these ideas to life.  

 

Responsibilities

  • Build, develop, and lead a top-calibre strategy & operations team 

  • Serve as a thought partner and business advisor to our sales executives  

  • Lead the sales operations function for the assigned region of LinkedIn’s Talent & Learning Solutions customer business – including, but not limited, to:  

  • Providing visibility into the performance of the business to leadership and sales teams  

  • Delivering on key global processes such as annual planning; designing, building, and optimizing sales territories; forecasting; and quota setting and management  

  • Driving system improvements & streamlined sales processes  

  • Lead the team and sales organization through change  

  • Assessing the impact of the team’s efforts on business results  

  • Drive management decisions and program development by deriving analytics and insights from our CRM and other systems  

  • Deliver strategic and operations projects globally as required to evolve and transform LinkedIn’s sales model  

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to lead mission-critical projects, role alignment & program integrations  

  • Create operational excellence through best practice sharing and process consistency across regions and LOBs  

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: 

  • BA or BS degree  

  • 2+ years of people leadership experience, managing direct reports

  • 8+ years in operations, sales, management consulting, finance, investment banking, or other analytical and strategic roles. 
     

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • MBA or advanced degree preferred (or equivalent work experience)  

  • Experience managing teams in high-growth, performance-focused environments  

  • Experience working in B2B SaaS businesses or with other sales organizations  

  • Experience working in tech, digital and/or Talent/Learning space  

  • Strong project management skills and the ability to mobilize cross-functional teams towards a common goal  

  • Strong communication skills, including written and verbal communication experience with senior leadership  

  • Deep interest in analyzing data and the ability to see beyond the numbers to drive sound decision-making  

  • Comfort using and developing reports, metrics, and dashboards with salesforce.com, Tableau, PowerBI or other relevant sales metric tools and programs.

LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.      

The base pay range for this role is $146,000 to $237,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.      

The total compensation package for this position may also include annual performance bonus, stock, benefits and/or other applicable
