Our LinkedIn Employee Communications team exists to connect and engage employees with the right information, at the right time, so they are productive and empowered to help LinkedIn succeed.
As the Sr. Manager, Employee Communications for Global Emerging Projects, you will provide the employee communications team with the agility and flexibility to support the evolving and critical needs of our company. In this dynamic role, you will support multiple initiatives and projects that align with our key strategic company or functional priorities, driving impactful outcomes for both our business and our employees. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders across our business and communication team to provide communication strategy, messaging guidance, execution support, and counsel for sensitive and complex projects and initiatives. Your exceptional storytelling skills will be harnessed to deliver compelling and best-in-class communications to our employees.
Responsibilities
Develop the communications strategy for critical emerging needs across the business that require support and meet specific criteria.
Proactively identify risks, propose solutions, and create important connection points for teams to inform our employee communications approach.
Own the execution of the employee communications plan for assigned projects/initiatives, from inception to completion, collaborating closely with the core project team and members of our employee communications team.
Actively shape messaging and narrative with a keen focus on the intended audience.
Serve as a strategic communications advisor and thought partner to leaders, delivering effective outcomes related to key initiatives and programs.
Facilitate business transformation, including organizational and operational changes that enhance our team’s effectiveness.
Equip leaders to effectively communicate to their teams about the project/initiative and its implications.
Support team foundations including our project request process and resource availability tracker, playbooks and toolkits.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
8+ years communications experience
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to self-start, operate autonomously, and solve unstructured problems
Comfortable navigating ambiguity, managing complexity and executing in a fast-paced environment
Executive presence and ability to effectively influence senior leaders by providing sound guidance on communications approach, messaging, and positioning
Experience in global business storytelling, with a proven ability to see the bigger picture, and steer outcomes with confidence
Strong interpersonal, written, and creative communication skills
Proven ability to lead projects and drive execution end-to-end across multiple communication disciplines and channels
Operational agility - ability to quickly adapt to any body of work, determine necessary actions, and involve the right people to achieve desired outcomes
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and rapidly prioritize based on impact and urgency
Experience in change communications
Familiarity with Sharepoint and other Microsoft tools
