The recently formed internal Knowledge Management (KM) team within Go-To-Market Enablement (GTME) is responsible for transforming and modernizing the way our GBO (Global Business Organization) employees experience content with the focus on providing easily accessible, trusted, and relevant information.  By organizing, writing, and publishing the vast amount of internal knowledge to LinkedIn’s Help Center in Service Now), the KM team is enabling GBO employees to be more productive and successful in their roles. 

The KM team manages internal knowledge creation through the full content lifecycle while also driving and developing the instructional, procedural, and technical content distributed externally across channels and LinkedIn experiences such as chat, email, in-product, and search. The KM team is embarking on a significant change management journey as they drive, enable, and execute knowledge management requiring partnership with numerous teams across the company. 

GTME is currently looking for a Senior Manager to lead the KM team. As the Senior Manager, you have the chance to sit at the intersection of content and technology while driving GBO’s knowledge strategy, execution, and measurement of impact. You will lead, coach, and inspire the KM team, build strategic relationships with cross-functional partners, and establish yourself as a trusted peer within Go-To-Market enablement all with the goal to transform the way GBO consumes content. You will represent KM in executive conversations to continue to drive knowledge strategy and associated impact forward while defining any blockers or necessary investments to help our employees be more productive.  

Responsibilities 

  • Lead the creation, development, and execution of the strategy for the Internal KM program for all of GBO with the primary goal to increase employee productivity through easy access to trusted, accurate and relevant information 
  • Define a clear vision and the needed tactics to build a cohesive knowledge (content) management approach for all phases of content lifecycle across GBO while balancing unique needs that may be required by a line of business, partner team and / or use case  
  • Measure the success of the KM program with a focus on defining the business impact resulting from increased employee productivity. Clearly communicate the program’s success against these defined metrics of success and milestones to GTM Enablement and GBO leadership 
  • Manage stakeholder relationships across LinkedIn both technical and non-technical to move the KM program forward - build relationships, ongoing communication, bring others with you along the KM journey  
  • Act as an escalation lead and effectively triage, investigate, and resolve complex technical issues with cross-functional partners and senior leaders  
  • Demonstrate ongoing agility, humility and growth mindset to identify program improvements and the respective operations needed to execute 
  • Lead, coach and inspire a high performing team to execute the onboarding strategy 
  • Exceptional communication – know your audience, articulate the “so what?”, inspire others to understand and follow the vision   
  • Ability to travel (~15% of time)   

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: 

  • 8+ years of combined industry experience supporting content, knowledge, sales operations or sales enablement teams
  • 3+ years of leadership experience including leading and managing others 

Preferred Qualifications:    

  • Experience in content development, tools, and/or software engineering.
  • Proven experience in partnering with cross-functional leaders to roll out large, complex programs including the necessary change management for end-users 
  • Experience supporting content development, structure, workflows, and migrations in a 
  • production environment.  
  • Experience in either Knowledge or Content Management Leadership 
  • Experience building and managing relationships with Executives and cross-functional leaders 
  • Builds, coaches, and develops an effective team: a talent magnet that creates a strong shared purpose with clear roles and responsibilities and definition of success 
  • Has a growth mindset and is comfortable managing through change and ambiguity 
  • Analytical and data-driven. Ability to see the big picture, simplify complex problems and drive a clear strategy to realize impact for GBO (global business organization) 
  • Adept at presenting across different levels of leaders and stakeholders 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills   
  • An avid learner

LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.   

The pay range for this role is $134,000 to $205,000. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
