LinkedIn’s Social Impact team is focused on creating economic opportunity for every member of the global workforce by inspiring our employees to drive impact and by partnering with nonprofits around the world. We are looking for an experienced Group Manager to lead a team and to take our current community and employee engagement strategy to the next level.  In this unique role, this person will have the opportunity to inspire our 20,000+ employees, globally to connect with their communities, causes and each other to strengthen our culture and the impact we can have together This position reports to the Director of Social Impact within Marketing & Communications and will manage 2 full time employees.  

Responsibilities 

  • Lead a newly-created Employee & Community Impact team, focused on ensuring LinkedIn has a strong presence in our local communities and is leveraging our employees to drive impact around the world (30 offices + remote/hybrid footprint) 
  • Oversee our local community grantmaking portfolio and build out a strategy of how we can support local community needs like homelessness, housing, and food security in the communities where we operate 
  • Lead our Community Space strategy and operations in the following flagship locations: Dublin, San Francisco, Mountain View 
  • Oversee employee donation and volunteering initiatives and partner with Employee Communications team to design and launch employee-facing campaigns to drive participation and impact 
  • Lead philanthropic disaster response process, monitoring and activating Social Impact disaster response efforts in response to environmental and social issues 
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders across the Center for Global Impact (LinkedIn for Nonprofits, Policy, Diversity Inclusion & Belonging, Sustainability) along with our  Global Talent Organization (GTO) and Global Workplace Services to ensure alignment 
  • Work closely with the Employee Experience team to identify ways we can energize our employee base and reconnect to each other and our communities

 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • BA/BS Degree or equivalent experience
  • 12+ years of experience in social impact and/or employee programs roles 
  • 3+ years of people management experience 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Interpersonal skills and ability to build lasting professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Leadership skills with the ability to influence, inspire, and reimagine what’s possible 
  • Track record of managing high-performing teams 
  • Written, verbal, and presentation skills to influence and inspire employees and senior leaders 
  • Proven track record with project management and planning skills  
  • Passion about and/or has lived experience in support of job seekers facing barriers with economic opportunity
  • Experience and comfort with using Powerpoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
  • Ability to operate in a highly dynamic, matrixed environment with competing
    priorities
  • Manages ambiguity with confidence and composure
  • Ability to work independently to achieve goals and project milestones

LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. 

The pay range for this role is $134,000 to $210,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
