Do you want to build and deliver compelling data-driven stories?

As a Senior Insights Analyst and Data Storyteller at LinkedIn, you will explore one of the richest data sets in the world to discover insights that help our sales partners serving our global portfolio of customers across APAC. Acting as a strategic business partner, you will scope out ambiguous requirements and showcase the power of data from LinkedIn’s massive data warehouse by turning it into actionable recommendations that address the needs of our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Leverage LinkedIn’s unique data to create innovative tools to address business challenges
  • Use SQL (Presto) to explore databases, extract necessary data and visualize findings in either PowerPoint, Tableau, or other data visualization software
  • Act as a strategic business partner to sales leaders, senior-level clients & partner to cross-functional leads (Director+)
  • Create and build insights that inspire clients and stakeholders and help them make better decisions
  • Lead cross-functional projects or team initiatives
  • Leverage LinkedIn's unique data to build compelling narratives and drive insights that address our clients' business challenges
  • Proactively identify processes that help in scaling key insight work for internal and external stakeholders
  • Act as a mentor and coach for insights analysts and advocate for the insights team across the business
  • Drive continuous education with partner teams to improve their ability to leverage insights & data that deliver customer value
  • Travel to meet with clients, colleagues and cross-functional partners (approximately 10% of the time)

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in math, marketing, statistics, economics or related quantitative field
  • 5+ years of experience with SQL and relational databases
  • 5+ years of experience in analytics or consulting roles requiring data interrogation, analysis and visualisation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in advertising and marketing analytics
  • Experience in the technology industry providing actionable insights to customers
  • Experience with Teradata, Hadoop (Hive/Pig), Tableau, Presto and Python
  • Experience with project management and working cross-functionally with data services, engineering, marketing and sales teams
  • Knowledge of social media and consumer Internet practices
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, writing, presentation, statistical and data analysis skills
  • Ability to communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
