Job Description

This role will be based in San Francisco, New York, Chicago, Sunnyvale, Carpinteria, Omaha, or remote based on where the candidate resides.

Our Sales Strategy & Operations (SOPs) organization is responsible for building and maintaining the operational foundation that enables our sales organization to run effectively and efficiently. This individual will act as an advisor to executives in the sales organization and is responsible for helping crack the most important strategic and operational problems facing the business. As a Sales Strategy & Operations Associate, you will be partnering with senior sales executives to assess business performance and derive actionable insights focused on driving revenue growth, sales productivity, and customer value. The Associate is also responsible for leading, executing, and scaling operational and planning processes in partnership with cross-functional stakeholders.

The associate on the North-American Linkedin Sales Solutions (LSS) team should have a strong strategic mindset, communications skills and the ability to drive change and transformation at scale. You will work with cross-functional, sales and SOPs partners on strategic and operational initiatives to drive continued growth, transformation and operational efficiencies within LSS. Building strong relationships with partners will be critical to your success.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, transform and manage change across core processes within the LSS sales organization, such as GTM execution, systems and tools, forecasting, financial planning, dashboard development, data checks and maintenance
  • Lead and provide recommendations on a variety of strategic, cross-functional projects that will shape LinkedIn’s go-to-market motion (motivation to challenge the status quo). Present insights and recommendations to executives and global sales operations partners
  • Advise senior members of the sales organization on growing and optimizing their businesses by making data-driven, actionable recommendations that help them achieve their long-term strategic priorities
  • Establish strong working relationships with peers in other Sales Operations teams and cross-functional partners (business operations, sales leadership, pricing, HR, finance and systems teams) to achieve objectives 
  • Drive strategic planning processes through data-driven recommendations (e.g., customer segmentation, headcount, financial and territory planning)
  • Track business performance and provide insights and recommendations to advise sales leadership on day-to-day decisions

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • 2+ years of experience in sales operations, business operations, finance, management consulting, or an analytical/operational role
  • 2+ years of experience with Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to leverage numbers and insights to influence and drive sound decision making
  • Experience in communicating effectively and presenting to Senior Executives
  • Experience driving change and transformation at scale across key processes and GTM initiatives among either of the following:  cross-functional partners, sales teams or external customers/partners
  • Experience managing programs (organizing teams, program plans, managing schedules, deliverables)
  • Ability to build strong partnerships and collaborate with stakeholders
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel: expertise in data analysis and financial modeling 
  • Experience in working with Tableau, SQL/Presto, Anaplan
  • Ability to effectively solve complex problems from high priority strategic initiatives

  • The pay range for this role is $85,000- $126,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
