Job Description

The Content Producer will lead the instructional design and development of industry-leading educational content. As a member of the Content team at LinkedIn Learning, the Content producer will work with and coach trainers and other content creators, review course content, and collaborate across the organization in a fast-paced, quality-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with content managers to identify instructional requirements.
  • Work with trainers on pre-production, including refining project concept documents, exercise file plans, indexes/outlines, and slides prior to recording.
  • Review 10-100% of all recorded lessons (on average, 25%) during production for substance, style and tone, and structure; ensure the overall quality of the finished course.
  • Review and resolve QA issues and work with trainers on patches, re-records, etc., as needed; review the final index before post-production.
  • Coach the trainer throughout the process to ensure that all aspects of instruction are high quality; provide trainer feedback for future courses to the Manager of Content Production and content manager(s).
  • Monitor trainer progress throughout pre-production and production, ensuring that projects stay on schedule; work closely with Production to ensure that the quality and schedule of the course are maintained.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications

Basic qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience related to content and instructional design, for example, as a trainer, a publishing professional, or a teacher
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience managing multiple projects in various stages of the product development cycle
  • Fluent (spoken and written) in French proficient in English (spoken and written)

Preferred qualifications:

  • Proven ability to identify content issues and to work collaboratively to deliver high-quality instructional results
  • Previous experience coaching content creators, such as instructors, faculty, or authors; must have prior teaching experience
  • Excellent organizational skills and experience working with deadlines and refining workflows
  • Proven ability to effectively manage projects that involve diverse individuals who may be local or at a distance
  • Some knowledge of relevant technical topic areas (creative, business, and/or coding)
  • Excellent software skills, including prior experience with Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent communication, writing, and editing skills
  • Fluent (spoken and written) in French and comfortable enough with English to attend English-language meetings as needed
  • No previous knowledge of video production required
