SOAR Program - Analyst

LinkedIn’s Strategy, Operations, and Analytics Rotational Program (SOAR) is a highly selective two-year program comprised of rotations in LinkedIn’s Business Operations (BizOps) team. BizOps partners with leaders across the company to drive impact for both Consumer and Enterprise teams, as well as a wide variety of functions, like Product, Sales, and Marketing. The program provides analytical entry level talent with rigorous, high impact, and high visibility roles to accelerate their personal and professional development. It also provides a unique opportunity for analysts to build foundational business knowledge including financial modeling, SQL, strategic framing & analysis, opportunity identification and decision support. Throughout your time as a rotation analyst, you'll learn, be stretched, and grow at an incredible pace. In addition to hands-on experience during each rotation, formal comprehensive training programs will teach you the diverse skill set you need to develop into a data-driven and strategic business leader.

During the program, you’ll take part in outings, all-hands meetings, executive brown-bags and community service events all designed to give you avenues in which to meet your peers, executives and to get a comprehensive view of LinkedIn. Analysts are also paired with mentors to provide career coaching and professional development throughout all rotations and beyond. The program provides an ideal platform for someone interested in a career in consumer & enterprise technology and services, strategy, and operations.

This program commences July 2022, and during the rotational program, analysts will be based in the San Francisco Bay Area and rotate between offices located in San Francisco and Sunnyvale.

Must be available for full-time employment upon program commencement and have not already accepted a full-time position with another company.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand and lead in-depth analysis on business value drivers, customers and operational metrics, identifying and recommending key areas of opportunities
  • Deliver strategic projects that provide key business insights for high-priority initiatives across multiple business lines
  • Develop financial & operational dashboards to monitor business line performance to drive product and/or sales strategic business decisions
  • Drive financial planning and quarterly business reviews with the business leaders

Basic Qualifications:

  • B.S. / B.A. in finance, business, accounting, economics, statistics, engineering, mathematics, operations research or other quantitative majors
  • Obtain B.S. / B.A. by July 2022

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in strategy, finance, or other highly analytical work is highly preferred
  • Analytical & problem solving: Ability to create structured quantitative / qualitative analyses & solve complex problems
  • Leadership & communication: Demonstrated leadership potential with strong oral and written communication skills
  • High-energy, team-first, positive attitude: Motivated to work hard in a fast-paced & entrepreneurial environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with SQL is a plus
