We are seeking a dynamic and seasoned Sales Leader to lead our Public Sector (Including Education and Healthcare) division across ANZ. Join us in changing the way the world works!
As Head of Public Sector for LinkedIn's Talent Solutions business (ANZ), you will lead a national team of seasoned sales managers and professionals who are responsible for deepening client relationships and growing LinkedIn's Talent Solutions business across some of our largest and most complex Public Sector accounts.
Reporting to the Senior Sales Director Talent Solutions, this role is a newly created position. It is a pivotal role in the leadership team responsible for leading the strategic expansion of the Public Sector division and the team's ongoing professional and leadership development.
As a Business Leader, you will build and maintain CXO level relationships through regular client or industry speaking engagements and activities, leveraging external and LinkedIn data/insights to provide a point of view. This is a highly collaborative role that requires global vision, cultural sensitivity, a passion for developing great talent, and building strong and lasting relationships as we strive to be the thought partner to our clients by helping them be successful with LinkedIn products and solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Have a clear and comprehensive understanding of LinkedIn's products, business model, customer marketplace and organizational structure
- Develop and execute against a focused sales strategy to retain and grow existing business for your region
- Leverage relationships to open doors to new strategic business opportunities
- Prepare and present accurate and timely sales forecasts to senior management
- Consistently monitor the sales activity of the team and track results
- Directly manage the day-to-day operations of the team and grow and scale as necessary
- Manage escalations and participate directly in all aspects of the sales cycle to ensure customer and member satisfaction
- Be directly involved with the mentoring and development of the sales team, which includes recruiting, hiring and training new Managers
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 12+ years of quota-carrying sales experience
- 5+ years of experience leading teams
- 2+ years of experience managing people managers
- Experience with sales methodologies and metrics
- Previous experience of working with Public Sector / Government clients or experience of working within these sectors
Preferred Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree or equivalent experience in marketing, business or a related field
- MBA degree in marketing, business or a related field
- Experience coaching and mentoring peers and onboarding new hires to achieve success
- Experience hiring and motivating seasoned Managers and Account Executives
- Experience in a SaaS-based startup environment
- Experience working with Public Sector clients and proven results in maximizing revenue at this level
- Experience developing relationships across the HR, Talent Acquisition, Employee Engagement or E-Learning industries
- Strong knowledge of CRM tools and subscription-based business sales models
- Knowledge of LinkedIn Talent & Learning Solutions products and solutions
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Strong sales process discipline with the proven ability to meet and to exceed revenue goals
- Ability to develop deep relationships across the organization and influence decision-makers at all levels
- Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks and work within deadlines with little supervision
- Ability to evaluate sound business opportunities and close deals
