Job Description
Senior Associate, People Analytics
We are seeking a highly strategic, driven, and analytical Senior Associate to join our People Analytics team. LinkedIn’s People Analytics team uses data analysis, consulting, and research expertise to help drive the company’s talent strategy and operations. Our team is uniquely positioned to redefine the world of HR by leveraging data from the world’s largest professional network to create innovative new models for hiring, talent management, and learning & development. Our work not only creates impact for LinkedIn internally but also for the world of talent by influencing our product roadmap for the talent domain.
The successful candidate will help us transform the way data is used to optimize our talent strategy including talent acquisition, retention, organizational development, and diversity. We are looking for someone who can partner with our HR leadership to tackle high priority strategic talent questions for the company.
Responsibilities include:
Bringing critical thinking and excellent problem-solving skills to a range of challenging business questions
Translating talent and business issues into questions and hypotheses that can be tested with data
Conducting in-depth data analysis and modeling
Communicating insights to key stakeholders and influencing teams to take action based on your recommendations
Performing data driven experiments and operating in an agile environment
Collaborating across teams, geographies, and organizational levels to implement solutions that have a measurable business impact
Qualifications
Basic qualifications:
Undergraduate degree in business, economics, mathematics, statistics, or any other related applied science or quantitative major or equivalent
2+ years of work experience at a management consulting firm, investment bank, private equity, technology, applied research company or related industry
On track to complete graduate degree by August 2021
Preferred qualifications:
Graduate degree (MBA, or Masters Degree in I/O Psychology, HR, statistics or social science)
Deeply analytical and can translate ambiguous problems into structured questions and hypotheses; takes pride in identifying key drivers and creating robust business cases
Experience in quantitative research, with basic inferential statistics and research methods (correlations, regressions, t-tests, quantitative and/or qualitative research)
Experience in survey design, development, analysis, and reporting
Experience with SQL/relational databases and business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau)
Experience influencing and leading without authority; great listener and show empathy for your partners and clients
Thrives in a team environment and develops authentic relationships with your colleagues and business partners
Able and eager to learn new tools and skills without direction
Some experience in data science, data modeling
Experience and/or passion for technology, HR, Talent Acquisition, or Learning & Development
