Link Solutions is seeking an Information Security Specialist (Intermediate-Level) to join our team in Orlando, FL.

The Information Security Specialist (Intermediate) will support the South East Region Cyberspace Support Center (RCSC) and help ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of government information systems supporting mission-critical operations.

This position supports cybersecurity operations, Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities, vulnerability management initiatives, and cybersecurity compliance requirements across enterprise environments. The successful candidate will work closely with system administrators, engineers, cybersecurity professionals, and Government stakeholders to protect critical systems and support authorization and accreditation activities.

The ideal candidate possesses strong experience with DoD cybersecurity policies, NIST standards, vulnerability management, RMF processes, and enterprise security technologies. This role offers the opportunity to support mission-critical systems while contributing to the security and resilience of critical Government operations.

Job Responsibilities:

• Support Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities and security authorization efforts for Government information systems.
• Assist in the implementation and maintenance of cybersecurity policies, standards, procedures, and security controls.
• Support vulnerability management activities, including identifying, tracking, reporting, and assisting with remediation of IAVMs, ICVMs, and security findings.
• Participate in security assessments, compliance reviews, audits, inspections, and cybersecurity evaluations.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of cybersecurity documentation, policies, procedures, reports, and supporting artifacts.
• Support continuous monitoring activities and cybersecurity compliance initiatives.
• Maintain cybersecurity records, system documentation, user agreements, and access authorization documentation.
• Develop, track, and maintain Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms).
• Support eMASS activities, system authorization packages, and accreditation documentation.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, engineering, systems administration, and operational teams to improve system security and compliance.
• Ensure cybersecurity requirements are incorporated into operational procedures, technical documentation, and system implementations.
• Assist in implementing and validating security controls in accordance with DoD and federal cybersecurity requirements.
• Collect, maintain, and report cybersecurity compliance data and performance metrics.
• Support audit preparation and remediation efforts associated with cybersecurity inspections and assessments.

Compensation Range:

• $80,000 - $90,000 annually
• Full-Time (Monday-Friday)

Several factors influence final compensation, including relevant experience, technical expertise, certifications, and education.

• Active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Four (4+) years of experience supporting cybersecurity, information assurance, information security programs, or cybersecurity operations.
• IAT Level II Certification equivalent or higher per DoD 8570/DoD 8140 (CompTIA Security+ CE, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, etc.).
• Experience supporting Risk Management Framework (RMF), vulnerability management, cybersecurity compliance, and accreditation activities.
• Experience supporting eMASS, POA&M management, vulnerability remediation, and cybersecurity documentation.
• Experience working with DoD cybersecurity requirements, NIST standards, and enterprise security controls.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Baseline certification required within six (6) months of hire if not already obtained.

Preferred:

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.
• Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate
• CySA+, CASP+, CISSP Associate, CISM, or similar cybersecurity certification.
• Experience with ACAS, Trellix, and enterprise vulnerability management tools.
• Experience with eMASS, RMF package development, and security authorization processes.
• Knowledge of NIST SP 800-53, CNSSI 1253, DISA STIGs, and related cybersecurity frameworks.
• Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) environments.
• Experience implementing and validating security controls in accordance with DoD cybersecurity requirements.
• Experience supporting mission-critical systems and high-visibility customers.
• Experience with knowledge management initiatives, process development, and technical documentation.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
