We have an exciting opportunity for a Data Manager at our office in Beckenham. This role will provide the central co-ordination point for data related activities within our business.
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a positive ownership culture around data within the business and to challenge, review and test data activities that are practiced by the data owners in the business. This role will ensure that we have consistent practices within the operational teams. The data manager will ensure that they provide 1st line support to the business
- Proactively working with the data owners in the business to ensure that the data movement and storage is consistent across all operational levels. Embedding a true quality culture surround the data we hold.
Undertake data reviews, based on activities managed by each department – including but not limited to reviews of control failings and incident led events.
Communicating key information and Data initiatives by holding regular meetings with stakeholders
Develop and embed a culture of data professionalism in the teams where customer data is a priority
Develop a process to ensure compliance with our Data policies, including data retention and deletions always ensuring that data held by the business are in line with the LMS data policy.
Lead and drive co-ordination of DPIAs, data mapping within the operational and client area
Control and map the DSAR process including Erasure and data requests – liaising with stakeholders within the business and IT to ensure that requests are delivered to data subjects in line with ICO expectations
Ensure that Data obligations remain compliant with any realignment of responsibilities under business transformation,
This role will ensure that all client requests for information on data are in line with our policies.
Drive an improvement in data ownership in the operational areas while ensuring that the SLA’s and policies are fully embedded.
Minimum GCSE level (or equivalent) or an industry led qualification within the data compliance field
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PP) and understanding of relevant Link systems
- GDPR Foundation or Practitioner certified, or experience of delivering GDPR related projects.
