Job Description

Purpose: The Product Manager for Communication plays a pivotal role in defining and implementing the product strategy for our Augmentative and Alternative (AAC) devices and apps. The individual will ensure that our products effectively meet the needs of individuals with diverse communication challenges and needs.  

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Product Strategy: Define and articulate the product strategy and vision for our AAC devices and communication apps, ensuring they align with company objectives and market needs. 
  • Product Development: Work closely with the engineering and design teams to develop new features and improve existing ones. 
  • Market Research: Conduct extensive market research to identify trends and opportunities within the AAC and assistive technology industry. 
  • Customer Insights: Engage with users, speech-language pathologists, and others to gain insights into how our products can better meet their needs. 
  • Roadmap Planning: Develop and manage the product roadmap, prioritizing features and improvements based on business and customer impact. 
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with a range of stakeholders, including marketing, sales, research, support, and senior management, to deliver a successful product. 
  • Product Launch: Oversee the launch of new products and features, coordinating with marketing, sales, and operations teams to ensure a successful rollout. 
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that our AAC devices comply with relevant industry standards and regulations. 

Qualifications

Education & Experience 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Speech Language Pathology or a related field. Masters in Speech Pathology or related field is a plus. 
  • Minimum 2 years of working in Agile software development processes and technologies. 
  • Experience in the healthcare sector is a significant plus. 
  • Knowledge of AAC practices, needs, and challenges. 
  • Strong project management, leadership, and organizational skills. 
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. 
  • Analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision making. 

Additional Information

Work Environment & Physical Demands: 

  • This role is a remote position, and the employee can work from home anywhere in the United States.  Incumbent is expected to maintain a safe, productive work environment with secure internet access. Must be able to operate a computer with or without a reasonable accommodation.  

Travel Requirements: 

  • Travel to Lingraphica’s home office and to cities within the continental United States for company related meetings and conferences may be required 1-2 times per year.  Employees must be fully COVID-19 vaccinated to participate in in-person meetings and events, however an accommodation request for 100% remote work is available. The ability to travel for user testing 4 to 6 times per year, strongly preferred.
