HR Assistant Internship
- Berlin, Germany
Are you a natural born communicator? Are your people skills to be envied? Are you motivated by solving problems?
Are we speaking to you?
At Lingoda, we believe that language transforms lives.
We are changing the way languages are learned. With our pupils at the centre, it is our mission to empower even the busiest people to master a language and unlock their potential - anytime, anywhere. Our pupils learn German, English, French and Spanish, all with qualified native speakers in both group and private classes.
It’s an exciting time for us as our international team is growing even more! We are looking for support for our HR team in this stage of expansion. This internship has an immediate start date and is for 3 months.
What would I be doing?
HR Admin: Supporting contract creation, ensuring a smooth payroll process, assisting in the on- and offboarding processes, contacting service providers and government agencies, supporting the visa application process, coordinating the feedback processes, managing absences, assisting in all general HR enquiries
Recruiting: Writing and posting captivating job adverts, managing application tracking, arranging and executing screening calls, coordinating the hiring process, supporting negotiations and contracts, scouting the best talent through online portals
Business Services Support: Working with the office management to organise events, create a pleasant working environment, completing ad hoc research projects and analyses
Office Tech Support: Assisting employees with any office equipment troubleshooting, creating accounts for new employees (GSuite, Microsoft etc.), setting up computers, sourcing IT support services when needed.
Who are we looking for?
We don’t have endless lists of requirements when looking for future Lingodies. Instead, we search for motivated communicators with high levels of integrity. Of course for this particular role there are, however, some skills and previous experience that would set you apart…
Previous people-facing work experience: be that in HR, sales, recruitment, customer service or something related. We want to know that you are passionate about people!
At least 1 semester of a Bachelor’s degree: preferably in something related to communications or Human Resources, but this is not an absolute requirement.
German language skills: you’ll need to feel comfortable talking to German governmental agencies and payroll providers in German. We are hoping to find people with confident B1 level German and above. But don’t worry - our office language is English and with 20+ languages spoken within the team, you won’t be limited to just two languages to practice!
Tech-savviness: although just one part of this role, you’ll need to be able to get on board with basic office IT troubleshooting. A willingness to learn your HDMI from your VGA and the ability to use your initiative solving IT issues will make you stand out from the crowd!
In addition to these preferences, any interest or previous experience in event management or German labour law also adds an extra sparkle to your application.
