Line2, based in downtown San Francisco, is a cloud-based phone service that offers separate business and personal phone numbers on your mobile phone, tablet and computer. Line2 is a complete VoIP phone line with phone number, texting, calling, caller ID and visual voicemail. Line2 operates seamlessly over Wi-Fi and 4G/LTE networks, and provides advanced call handling and business features.

We are looking for a Systems Administrator to manage our existing systems while implementing new infrastructure, automation, and system processes in a customer facing enterprise application platform.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING 

• Working with many internal teams to deliver timely results with tight delivery schedules.
• Maintaining and improving Infrastructure health (designing a new data center/cloud location and refreshing the current DC).
• Monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving infrastructure issues.
• Implementing Automation.
• Delivering engineering build-outs including virtual machines and physical systems.
• Implementing processes and managing infrastructure PCI/SOC1 compliance.
• Working on-call rotation for 24/7 operations.
• Reporting to Director of Operations.

To be successful in this role you will generally have:

• Experience with Network and Systems Management (including switching, routing, firewalls, vpn, and load balancers.
• Day-to-day working knowledge of various Windows and Linux Server OS
• Experience supporting and maintaining VM Infrastructure and SAN Infrastructure.
• Hosted service experience with Azure, Google Apps, AWS, etc.
• A security and compliance mindset (authentication, IDS, and auditing)
• Strong understanding of and ability to troubleshoot networking, including TCP/IP, subnetting, firewalls, VPNs and debugging experience with various network tools.
• Experience performing setup, maintenance, replication and backup of databases as well as familiarity with SQL (SQL Clustering a plus).
• DevOps experience with change management, setting up and maintaining version control software, and build systems such as Git & Jenkins.
• Undertaken major infrastructure overhaul projects (implemented new networks, moved or implemented data centers, migrated to cloud, migrated ISPs, etc).
• 5+ years experience as a systems administrator for high-tech/software development company in a (rotating) 24/7 on call environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field a plus.
