Lincoln Middle School

The 6th Grade Math Teacher / Coach is responsible for delivering high-quality mathematics instruction aligned to state standards while also supporting and leading an assigned athletic program. This position requires a commitment to academic excellence, student development, and positive school culture both in the classroom and through athletics.

Instructional Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based math instruction aligned to state curriculum
• Utilize data to inform instruction and monitor student progress
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners, including students with diverse academic and behavioral needs
• Implement effective classroom management strategies to maintain a positive learning environment
• Collaborate with grade-level and content teams to ensure alignment and consistency
• Provide timely feedback and maintain accurate records of student performance
• Participate in professional development and continuous improvement practices

Coaching Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and lead practices and competitions for assigned sport(s)
• Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and character development
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all student-athletes
• Follow district, conference, and state athletic guidelines and policies
• Maintain communication with parents, athletes, and administration
• Supervise students during practices, games, and travel
• Assist with program development and off-season activities as assigned
