Upwork has partnered with an enterprise client seeking a Media Measurement Consultant to design and implement a global reach measurement framework and dashboard system. This initiative will aggregate media performance across digital, TV, and radio channels, with the primary goal of delivering an MVP that defines how “unique reach” is calculated, ingested, and reported across diverse global regions and platforms.

Job Description

  • Lead the discovery phase to define a standardized global methodology for measuring “unique reach” across digital and traditional media
  • Design an interpretation layer to normalize platform data, addressing deduplication, repeat exposure, and inconsistent platform definitions
  • Develop a hybrid data ingestion framework combining automated API integrations and manual inputs (e.g., spreadsheets, regional reports)
  • Establish data schemas, validation rules, and regional conversion logic (e.g., household-to-individual reach adjustments)
  • Define scalable approaches for incorporating TV, radio, OTT, and other non-digital channels without standardized APIs
  • Architect the structure and logic of a global reporting dashboard, enabling roll-ups by region, country, and channel
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to balance methodological rigor with practical feasibility across global markets
  • Provide guidance on system architecture and support or lead implementation efforts, as needed

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in media measurement, audience analytics, or advertising data across digital and traditional channels (TV, radio)
  • Strong understanding of global ratings systems (e.g., panel-based measurement, modeled data approaches, regional equivalents to Nielsen)
  • Experience designing data frameworks or analytics systems across multiple regions or markets
  • Familiarity with API integrations, data pipelines, and hybrid ingestion workflows
  • Ability to translate ambiguous or inconsistent data into standardized, actionable metrics
  • Experience in consulting or hybrid consultant/builder roles
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to align diverse stakeholders on methodology and definitions
