We are seeking experienced Interior Design Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to participate in recorded video sessions providing expert instruction and practical guidance in interior design. As an SME, you will participate in a recorded video call where only the learner is on camera to teach and explain specific interior design topics — helping learners understand real-world design principles, techniques, and decision-making processes.
This is a remote, contract-based project ideal for interior design professionals who have prior teaching experience and enjoy communicating design concepts clearly and engagingly.

Responsibilities

• Participate in recorded video sessions (Up to 60 minutes each), offering expert guidance and instruction on a variety of interior design topics as requested by the learner.
• Demonstrate professional reasoning and methods across a variety of design challenges — such as layout, materials, lighting, color, and spatial planning.
• Communicate design principles clearly to learners who may be new to the subject.
• Collaborate with project management to ensure your content aligns with session goals and production standards.
• Maintain an engaging and approachable presence while providing actionable, real-time insights.

Requirements

• Professional background in Interior Design (e.g., degree, certification, or extensive professional experience).
• Prior teaching, mentoring, or training experience in interior design — at a school, workshop, or online learning platform.
• Strong verbal communication and presentation skills.

Reliable access to:

• A quiet environment suitable for recording
• A microphone
• A cell phone or other audio recording device to record an additional channel of audio
• A stable internet connection for video calls
• Comfort being recorded and featured in instructional video content.
• Ability to provide real-world examples of design solutions and thought processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience creating or delivering 1:1 educational content (e.g., tutorials, online courses, design workshops)
