Job Description

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Engagement, monitoring, and supervision of all facets of Mommy and Me program with the exception of state mandated reports.

  • Responsible for learning and carrying out the mission, policies and procedures of LIFETIES, INC.
  • Responsible for being a positive representative of LIFETIES, INC in your appearance, actions and demeanor at all times
  • Responsible for appropriate attire and professional behavior at all times
  • Responsible for being a role model and provide appropriate guidance when needed
  • Responsible to participate in all scheduled staff meetings, trainings and workshops
  • Knowledge of Nurturing Families (Bavolek) is a plus
  • Knowledge of child and adolescent development
  • Knowledge of community resources for adolescent parents
  • Responsible for a minimum of 1 (1-hour) group per week and 3 hours of direct parent support per person served
  • Responsible to completing Mommy and Me education assessments and learning activities
  • Responsible to complete weekly progress notes in Apricot
  • Responsible to coordinate with GH admin team
  • Must participate in Case Management meetings- alternating Mondays
  • Responsible to report any incident, behavior or accident reports to the Program Director or Coordinator of Residential Services
  • Responsible for Mommy and Me youth and babies supervision and monitoring 
  • Responsible for supporting Mommy and Me youth and babies
  • Responsible for providing child care to children/infants
  • Responsible for creating recreational activities with Mommy and Me youth and babies
  • Responsible for Mommy and Me youth and babies transportation to any medical or WIC appointments
  • Responsible for collaborating with the medical department for all medical appointments for Mommy and Me person served and babies
  • Responsible for ensuring that all appointments is in the calendar
  • Responsible for documenting all incidents into Apricot prior to the end of shift
  • Respond to all crisis situations on shift
  • Responsible for supervising infant/child daily stimulation sessions and feeding charts
  • Responsible to ensure that direct care staff is completing all stimulation and feeding charts daily
  • Responsible to coordinate supports for Mommy and Me person served
  • Responsible for assigning task to direct care staff; ensure that all assigned tasks has been completed prior to the end of shift or deadline
  • Responsible for teaching life skills to residents which include creating a balance menu, meal preparation, nutrition; collaborate with Medical Liaison regarding meal planning
  • Responsible for ensuring that Mommy and Me person served bedrooms is cleaned daily
  • Responsible for petty cash – ensuring that all receipts are turned in daily/weekly
  • Other duties as assigned
  • All positions are awake, active and alert*



The Parenting Coach must have a high school diploma or GED; a bachelor’s degree is preferred. Must have three years’ experience working with youth and families is required along with experience working with the population served.  The worker must have experience working in a day care or program serving mothers and children ages 0-2.  Must have a valid driver’s license and pass a criminal background check and all other agency requirement.
