Job Description

LifeTies is seeking a Marketing & Communications Intern to assist with outreach, marketing efforts, and increased social media visibility. 

Responsibilities

  • Use marketing and public relations tools to publicize information sessions, volunteer opportunities and our Annual Spring Benefit.
  • Collaborate with staff to develop newsletters, email blasts and social media collateral
  • Use the Internet and social media to increase volunteer recruitment
  • Assist with Facebook advertising campaigns, including tracking and analyzing results
  • Assist with writing press releases and media coordination
  • Post flyers throughout Mercer County to increase organization visibility and attract potential volunteers to information sessions

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Completed or working towards a college degree, preferably in a related field (Marketing/Communications, Public Relations, etc.)
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter (Constant Contact a plus)
  • Outstanding written communication skills
  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented
  • Capability to take initiative and work independently as well as with a team

    This is an unpaid internship during the Spring 2020 semester with a commitment of 4-6 hours per week, some of which can be done remotely after the first month.
