LIFE PROJECT 4 YOUTH - LP4Y

LP4Y is an international movement of local organizations specializing in the development of innovative solutions for the professional and social integration of excluded Youth living in extreme poverty.

LP4Y supports thousands of Young adults in 19 Training and Development Centers, 4 Little Angel Academies, 6 Green Villages, 4 Youth hostels, 2 LP4Y Labs, in South East Asia, South Asia, Middle East, Europe and America. Currently, 140 Catalysts in Asia and Middle-East are working with excluded Youth contributing to the development of their country. Since 2009, +8000 Youth have been accompanied to the professional world. 

TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT CENTER - LP4Y

The future TDC Cairo will open in July 2024. It will propose a learning by doing pedagogy to excluded young women and young mothers, in order for them to develop professional grooming and employability skills (communication skills, organization and management, time management, business mindset, teamwork, citizenship...). The final objective is to support them to find a stable and decent job (by accompanying them, without placement).

The project uses a hands-on pedagogy in the social and professional integration of Youth based on the 15 years experience of Life Project 4 Youth Foundation, LP4Y, specialized in integration of excluded Youth. In a team, the Youth create and develop micro-companies in order to develop skills, gain self-esteem and become actors of their life.

Responsibilities and Duties

Once trained to the LP4Y Pedagogy, the mission will take part in:

• Opening the TDC Cairo center 

- Mapping & prospecting to find the good location for the TDC Cairo 

- Prepare the center & organize the opening (batch arrival of the Youth, event with the community...) 

• Partnership Development TDC 

- In charge of the local Ecosystem Development in Cairo : reinforce the links in the local ecosystem, create connexions and partnerships (strong ecosystem of international companies to be activated) 

-Supports with local events and projects involving the community and organized by/for the Youth and the other volunteers, engage and participates in local community life activities

Fundraising : Leads prospection for local fundraising and work with the Country Coordinator to write proposals

• Development of the Micro-Company and training of the Youth

- Development of a Micro Company (social entrepreneurship) to enable the Youth to develop: Soft skills (business, management, organization, planification, communication, professionalism, time management) and Hard Skills; digital literacy, english / globish basic communication skills)

• Organization & Management 

- Organization of program activities in collaboration with other Catalysts, budget management, follow up and reporting of the activities along with the coordination team in support.

Qualifications and Skills:

• At least 23 years old
• Fluent in Arabic and English 
• Work experience in the corporate sector will be appreciated
• Good knowledge in MS office (word, excel, drive, email…)
• Professional behavior
• Ability to work in a team (team spirit) especially with intercultural members
• Motivated and proactive profile who like challenges, volunteer spirit
• Ready to learn and grow

Location:

• Cairo

• Allowance: 11 000EGP / month (fixed for the first year of contract)
• Housing is provided – free accommodation

• LP4Y will take charge of your expenses if you need to travel (to Lebanon for example) as and when required for project purpose

Working Schedule:

• Working time :  about 40h/week
• Work days : Sunday to Thursday based on 8 hours/day
• Holidays : 2 days / month + 8 days blank holidays
