The international institute of tropical agriculture seeks suitable candidates for the position below at the institute’s headquarters in Ibadan:

Job Description

Responsibilities:

(2 years renewable contract)

Assist in strategic initiatives of the institute

Perform the strategic sourcing duties of the assistant Head supply chain while absent or on leave

Raise request for quotations (RFQ’s) request for information (RFIs) and other templates

Locate potential and reliable suppliers capable of creating and delivering value

Send, receive and analyze response of requests for proposals to potential suppliers

Benchmark supplier’s portfolios and review supplier’s performance

Develop sourcing strategy/model and sourcing initiatives

Negotiation of relevant contract terms and conditions.

Assist and coordinate strategic sourcing initiatives for other stations

Qualifications


Qualifications:

Bsc/HND in purchasing and supply or relations fields.

A professional certification of CIPS I or II with a minimum of 3 years experience

Good knowledge of contracts agreements

Excellent computer skills with good grasp of spreadsheet, word processing and other MS office applications

Excellent English reporting, writing and oral communication skills.

Strong ability to co-ordinate, priorities and organize workload, take initiative and work under pressure.
