Job Description

The financial controller has the primary responsibility for planning, implementing and controlling all financial related activities of the company. This will include direct responsibility for accounting, taxation, finance, budgeting, product costing, project cost analysis and evaluation. Investor relationship, government agent’s relationships as well as banking and treasury management, the desired candidate must have headed accounts department in a best practice environment and must have produced necessary daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly and annual plans and reports for management decision making.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have a first degree or equivalent in accounting or related fields and must be a member of a recognized accounting body .an MBA will be added advantage.

Minimum of 10 years work experience out of which at least s5 years must have been spent in a managerial position performing the functions of head, financial control or accounts.

Proficiency in the use of Microsoft office suite is desired as well as hands on experience in the use of accounting software or ERP.

Good knowledge or project management and costing will be definite plus.

Few years work experience in audit will be desirable while work in experience in a service concern will be added advantage.
