Water Aid is a UK registered international charity with a vision of a world where everyone has access to water, sanitation and good hygiene. We support local organizations to manage low cost, sustainable projects and also influence policy makers to secure the right of poor people to affordable water and sanitation services.

To effectively implement our country strategy, water aid Nigeria is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following positions to be based at our office in Abuja, Nigeria.

The role will provide strategic leadership of financial and information Technology support function for Water Aid Nigeria and ensure effective application of water aid financial and IT policies and procedures in collaboration with other members of the country senior management team and water aid UK. The Head of Finance and IT will also support partner organization in ensuring they develop and apply generally acceptable accounting practices in their financial activities.

 

Minimum requirements from our ideal candidates is a university degree in accounting and membership of an international recognized accounting body i.e. . Institute of chartered accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), ACCA, CIMA, CPA.

Possession of masters in business administration (MBA) or masters in public administration (MPA) would be a distinct advantage. In addition to the qualifications, the candidates must possess a minimum of ten years post qualification experience for which five would be in a senior management positions in an international NFO sector.

The candidates will demonstrate an excellent track record of experience in preparing accurate accounting reports to a diverse range of audience under tight deadlines etc.
