Job Description

  • Working with medical director, to assume responsibility of supporting scientific engagements of key opinion leaders (KOLs), health associate practitioners (HCPs), professional associations, decision makers and relevant key stakeholders in assigned therapy area(s).
  • The primary role of the MSL is to meet the scientific needs of GSK’s external opportunities with KEE within the scope of current scientific focus.
  • To act as the scientific expert in designated therapy areas to the company as a whole, providing data communication and relevant scientific training to the business unit team members.
  • To provide support to the company by the scientific exchange of data and information related to clinical research, disease state knowledge and therapeutic trends with KOLs and other HCPs in assigned therapy areas.
  • Develop productive relationships with thought leaders in the medical community and in the group practice setting.
  • Upon request of the managed care team, communicate scientific merit that supports the economic value of our clients products to payers and formulary committees.
  • Respond to unsolicited request for medical value of our clients products to payers and formulary committees.
  • Respond to unsolicited request for medical information and act as primary resources of products.
  • Establish a respected presence in the academic and group practice medical community.
  • Communicate scientific information clearly in a variety of settings, including internal meetings, clinical investigator meetings, advisory boards, and individual discussion.
  • Participate in training and staff meetings within medical affairs groups and in planning of consulting meetings.
  • To develop and maintain a strategic network of KOLs and national bodies to facilitate peer-to-peer interactions and gain an in-depth knowledge of customers requirements and therapeutic trends

Qualifications

  • Medical degree and/or advanced biomedical sciences are required
  • Experienced MSL with thorough understanding of he biopharmaceutical industry may be an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently and work in matrix organization.
  • Work in a multi cultural and multi departmental environment.
  • Multiple product mix and attention to details.
  • Drive and passion for results.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team player.
  • Knowledge of local legislation and work within compliance framework.
  • Effective communication and leverage network connections.
