  • Responsible for verification of invoices and processing of payments.
  • Responsible for posting of voucher using Peachtree accounting system
  • Preparation of bank reconciliation statement monthly.
  • Calculation and preparation of monthly vat remittance.
  • Remittance of monthly staff paye to the appropriate authorities a s well as a yearly return to LSIRS.
  • Responsible of keeping proper record of creditors and debtors.

Job Description

  • The ideal candidates must have a previous experience within the marine/offshore environment. The Assistant Accountant will be charge of raising invoices, managing ledgers, processing expenses, preparing vat return etc. he must demonstrate a can do attitude and have the capability to motivate and challenge his team.

 

Qualifications

  • Must have sound knowledge of Peachtree accounting system
  • Must be able to use MS office Package.
  • Must have a good knowledge of general record keeping and filling system.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in shipping and Oil industry.
  • Sound communication skills and computer literate.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
