A reputable law firm seeks a 2nd to 4th year associate or patent agent with a strong technical background in chemical engineering, materials science and/or mechanical engineering.  Familiarity with software is also preferred.  Experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications, strategically developing patent portfolios, conducting IP due diligence and FTO analyses, drafting opinion letters and supporting intellectual property litigators in the development of enforcement and defense strategies is required.  Advanced degree preferred (at least an MS); industry experience desired.  Registration with the USPTO required; prior firm experience preferred.  Candidates must have superior organizational and communication skills and a demonstrated commitment to providing exceptional client service.
