We are on the search for a  video scriptwriter to join our in-house Creative Studio. Reporting to the Lead Writer, you will work closely on our existing products and new initiatives.  

As a writer on our video team, your focus will be crafting educational tutorials, explainer videos, webinars and podcasts with topics ranging from college planning to financial skills and more. Your task is to take complex material and make it simple, intuitive and engaging.

Our audience are high school students and their families. Our collective voice is smart, direct and warm… with room for humor. Writers on our team need to be adaptable to this collective voice, while adding their own creative talents. The key to making complex material engaging is coming up with new and interesting structures and formats that align with our brand. As a team member you will be part of this creative collaboration. 

We produce a high volume of diverse content. Writing team members need to be well organized, intellectually curious, and motivated to thrive in a fast paced environment.  

**This is a full-time, 5 days onsite temporary (W2) position. Our HQ is located in Midtown Manhattan.**

We’re looking for a  flexible, creative, and ambitious scriptwriter to create, edit and review video scripts that are digested from our internal material. You must be able to generate great ideas and write scripts/treatments for a wide variety of our products and services. 

• 2-5 years of experience in writing scripts for direct to camera talent, voice over, social, digesting material from our articles to make intuitive and engaging videos

• Works with the Lead Writer to develop new video concepts, storyboards, and writes scripts for various types of videos (explainers, promotional, DTC, and interview style videos). Videos range from 45s - 8m depending on the type of video

• Collaborates with other writers and the production team

• Must be well organized, detail oriented, and thrive in a fast paced environment

• Ability to manage multiple projects of varying complexities, meet deadlines, and work well under pressure

• Onsite 5 days a week (Midtown Manhattan)

• Work hours: Monday - Friday, 9:30AM - 6:00PM (less lunch)

• Compensation range: $35 - $40 / hour. This represents the expected compensation range for this job requisition. Ultimately, we will consider various job-related factors in determining the offer.
