The Role

We are on the search for an Associate Director, Career Advising & Readiness to join our Careers team. Reporting to the Director, you will work closely on our existing products and new initiatives, have the opportunity to help shape our product direction, and see your work have a large-scale impact. You will support and partner with the Director in all activities involved with creating inspiring and thorough research and accompanying content. 

**This is a full-time employment opportunity, hybrid (NYC) preferred, remote OK for the right candidate.**

 Responsibilities

  • Contribute to strategic planning and development of career content for high school and college students, early-career professionals, and other young adults

  • Use research-based, data-informed best practices to plan, develop, and deliver career advising content to students

  • Incorporate diverse student needs and experiences into content strategy, ultimately leading to student (user) success 

  • Proactively plan for student needs while developing new career advising content and other resources

  • Respond to user data and feedback to ensure the highest quality student (user) experience

  • Review and approve content and creative elements for accuracy, brand, readability, and consistency

  • Follow market and job trends in order to tailor timely and relevant career advice and content

 Additional duties

  • Serve as a knowledgeable speaker and subject matter expert to both internal and external audiences

  • Collect, aggregate, and incorporate relevant feedback from a variety of stakeholders and audiences in order to identify needed content changes

  • Support continuous improvement by evaluating existing processes and identifying new content

  • Collaborate with teammates and company leadership to ensure content is consistent across collections and meeting stakeholder needs 

Qualifications

  • 8-10 years of prior work experience with at least 5 years in high school/college career counseling, either in a school, nonprofit, government agency, or similar setting
  • Experience working with high school and/or college students with diverse needs

  • Experience writing content for students, parents, and other key stakeholders 

  • Experience creating and developing action-oriented career plans (including templates, resources, and supplemental materials) for students in grades 9th to 12th grade

  • Experience with instruments and assessments to support identification of preferred career path(s)

  • Familiarity with widely utilized resources for career advising (Department of Labor, Occupational Outlook Handbook, O*Net, CareerOneStop, Bureau of Labor Statistics, etc.)

  • Awareness of different state requirements regarding career readiness standards and curriculum development

  • Experience creating and developing content related to professional skills, such as interviewing for a job or building a professional network

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Excellent presentation and public speaking skills

  • Critical thinking with the confidence to ask questions and seek understanding

  • Strong attention to detail and highly motivated to ensure work is completed correctly and on time

  • Experience leading a team, especially in a supervisory role

  • Experience in digital media is a plus

In addition, the successful candidate must have:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience

  • Career Counselor Credential (such as NCDA Master Career Counselor) a plus but not required

Additional Information

  • US work authorization (Level All does not provide work authorization and/or visa sponsorship).

  • Compensation range: $100,000 - $130,000. This represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining the offer, we will consider location, skills, relevant experience, and other job related factors.
