Are you an editor who has experience leading a small team of editors and writers? Have you built a content vertical around creating engaging personal finance and financial skills content? Join our growing editorial team and shape our editorial and multimedia content.

We’re looking for creative editors with experience in service journalism who can develop smart, engaging content experiences that inspire a broad audience. Help high school students discover new opportunities whether it’s on or off the college path. You will have the opportunity to help shape our product and our voice. Your work can have a real world impact. Reports to the Head of Editorial.

Responsibilities include:

• Work with subject experts and researchers to create editorial plans and content experiences
• Ability to edit written articles to ensure impact, and tone of voice and style guide are adhered to
• Transform detailed topics into engaging, understandable content for a diverse audience
• Think about editorial packages of content – from articles to videos to visual storytelling
• Review work in a timely manner and on deadline
• Work with writers and researchers to tell compelling, concise stories
• Clearly communicate comments and feedback to team
• Collaborate with project managers, writers, photo editors, research, video producers and other cross functional team members
• Work on multiple projects at a time
• Tackle all components of a editorial production from initial brainstorms and article development to headlines and QA efforts
• Make service journalism topics exciting, engaging, and inspirational for a broad audience

This is full-time employment or temp-perm conversion.

• Experience leading a team and helping grow talent
• Ability to write engaging headlines
• Think conceptually about an editorial package
• Engage multimedia within articles
• Experience with service journalism
• Managing production schedules
• Experience with CMS and content management systems
• Great attention to detail
• Give clear constructive feedback
• Ability to work in fast paced environments

In addition, the successful candidate must have:

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, english, or related field
• 7+ years of editorial content experience
• US work authorization (All applicants must possess proper US work eligibility and authorization documents)
