Job Description

The Team Manager (Compliance and Assurance) is responsible for overseeing the accuracy and consistency of file reviews within the Sales Compliance team. This role requires a hands-on approach, actively participating in the review process to set an example and provide guidance. The Team Leader will continuously evaluate and refine review procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, ensuring high standards are maintained.

In addition to leading and mentoring the Sales Compliance Team, the Team Manager will identify opportunities for automation and AI-driven solutions to streamline tasks and reduce errors, as well as to help improve the overall efficiency of the review process and free up team members for more complex problem-solving tasks.

The Team Manager will have experience in leadership within a quality review or similar environment, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience with automation and AI technologies is a plus, as is the ability to communicate effectively and lead by example. The role takes a proactive approach to help foster a culture of excellence and innovation within the team.

  • Oversee investigations and assurance reviews completed by Compliance and Assurance Officers within the Sales Compliance Team including identifying and scoping opportunities for targeted post settlement file reviews.
  • Prepare reports including insights and trends for relevant stakeholders in addition to outlining findings and recommendations on remedial actions.
  • Continuously evaluate effectiveness and scope of reviews undertaken by Compliance and Assurance Officers to ensure continuous improvement and support the business to understand strategic areas of improvement.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to gain efficiencies using AI for repeatable tasks.
  • Maintain data in Lendi’s GRC management system (Lighthouse), through the management of registers, incidents and issues.
  • Support ad hoc risk and compliance activities as needed.

 

Qualifications

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including an ability to influence at a senior management level.
  • Experience in areas such as internal audit, compliance, regulation, conduct risk, culture or operational risk frameworks.
  • Previous experience in managing a team of people.
  • Ability to proactively identify, understand, communicate and act on current and future risks.
  • Work collaboratively with other business units and team members to ensure risks are identified and actions are taken to delivery sustainable results.
  • Tertiary qualified in relevant discipline (preferred).
