What’s the role?

The Creative Studio Lead will be responsible for driving the creative vision and execution of the company's brand across all channels. This role will lead the in-house creative team, manage external agencies, and collaborate with cross-functional partners to deliver compelling and effective visual communications. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of storytelling through graphics and video, a strong commercial acumen, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. 

This role is based in Sydney and follows a hybrid working model.

Job Description

Content Creation and Storytelling: 

  • Power our organic content creation ambitions by proactively identifying opportunities for storytelling through graphics and video. 
  • Provide creative direction for collateral, web, product packaging, and other visual communications media across all brands. 
  • Actively participate in and lead creative contributions to organic strategy through the newsroom rhythm. 

Cross-Functional Coordination: 

  • Coordinate cross-functional opportunities to enhance the brand’s visual presence. 
  • Partner with channel owners on long-term roadmaps and identify common work across channels, utilising rhythms and cadences for efficiency. 
  • Identify aligned or mis-aligned briefs / executions cross-functionally and use rhythms like newsroom to force alignment or flush out trade-offs.  

Agency and Brand Partnership: 

  • Partner with agencies as required to shape the look and feel of our brand, consulting with the brand team for input. 
  • Lead and coordinate agency and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective execution of creative strategies. 

Creative Direction and Execution: 

  • In partnership with the Head of Customer Growth, drive the creative direction for the brand, ensuring it aligns with marketing objectives and delivers integrated through-the-line campaigns. 
  • Own end to end a system for measuring and tracking effectiveness of different creative executions, using data from channel owners, and use to drive and inform future creative direction. 
  • Own and iterate the creative framework in partnership with the Head of Content and Audience, and drive channel owners to use the briefing template to maximise alignment to overall direction and CVP.  
  • Develop guidelines and guardrails and embed these in the team to maintain alignment to the creative framework.  
  • Advocate for creative testing, leveraging an understanding of different ways in. 
  • Understand the importance of CTAs (Call to Actions) and RTBs (Reasons to Believe) in video and graphic formats to ensure effectiveness. 

Team Management and Resourcing: 

  • Lead and nurture the Group’s in-house Creative Studio of designers, prioritising their workflow and managing team resourcing. 
  • Manage workload and resource patterns to fulfill business requirements efficiently. 
  • Provide strong leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills to drive team success. 

Stakeholder Engagement: 

  • Proactively engage stakeholders on briefs, offering creative solutions that drive and articulate the brand’s CVP (Customer Value Proposition), why now, RTB, and CTAs. 
  • Lead / act as a custodian for Lendi Group’s content framework.  
  • Partner with the brand team and agencies on the development of the brand and CVP hierarchy. 

Innovation and AI Integration: 

  • Demonstrate a strong appetite and understanding of AI and its potential to accelerate the creative process, integrating innovative solutions into the workflow. 

Commercial Acumen: 

  • Exhibit strong commercial acumen, understanding the business requirements and aligning creative efforts to support commercial objectives. 
  • Demonstrate differential impact of different creative executions on end outcomes.  

Creative Collaboration: 

  • Drive our marketing objectives by delivering engaging creative across a variety of channels, ensuring consistency and impact. 
  • Foster partnerships with agencies and internal teams to deliver high-quality creative outputs that align with the brand’s vision and goals. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred. 
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a creative leadership role, preferably within an agency or in-house creative studio. 
  • Proven track record of driving creative direction and delivering successful visual communications. 
  • Strong understanding of the importance of CTAs and RTBs in video and graphic formats. 
  • Experience managing and resourcing a creative team, with excellent leadership and team-building skills. 
  • Commercial acumen and the ability to align creative efforts with business objectives. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively. 
  • Proficiency in using AI and other innovative tools to enhance the creative process. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
