About the role

You are responsible for working with the Aussie Home Loan Product team to achieve its strategic business objectives. Specifically you will identify, develop and manage business relationships with Lendi Group brokers, State and Sales Managers to grow the AHL mortgage portfolio. 

Job Description

  • Develop and implement sales plans based on insight and analysis, working with distribution teams, to achieve AHL sales targets
  • Regular visits and contact with Head Office and regional sales offices with primary focus of increasing mortgage volumes for AHL branded product
  • Query resolution including credit and policy scenarios, funder escalations; the Aussie Home Loan (AHL) product expert and Aussie Relationship Manager (ARM) point of contact for day-to-day issues
  • Respond quickly to Broker enquiries and take ownership to help Brokers get their deals across the line
  • Training and coaching of brokers to support process, policy or regulatory change and new product rollouts
  • Participation in training and promoting the AHL product to new brokers at the induction and grad programs
  • Actively identify and drive improvements in AHL’s quality of loan submission
  • Support brokers and CS in the active management of existing customers to ensure retention is maximised and discharges minimized
  • Ownership of broker experience regarding the AHL brand
  • Contribute to AHL improvements as requested by the Head of Aussie Product distribution
  • Provide competitive market intelligence related to the mortgage industry and competitive landscape.
  • Present recommendations for optimizing and further enhancing the AHL product offering.
  • Relationship Management
  • Manage relationships with key Aussie stakeholders e.g. State and Sales Managers, E&C, Credit, etc to ensure effective representation of the AHL product
  • Manage relationships with external stakeholders to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of customer service
  • Lead a cohesive cross functional working environment by assisting colleagues as needed to ensure workloads are dealt with.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years’ experience as a Business Development Manager 
  • Experience in a mortgage broking organisation is highly desirable 
  • Detailed knowledge of credit and credit policies 
  • Strong knowledge of mortgage/loan processing operations including approval, settlement and post settlement
  • A strong understanding and affinity with sales environments 
  • Experience in the end-to-end leadership of risk management in complex corporate environments
