Job Description
We are looking to hire a very proactive Verification Officer who is responsible for providing support to the organisation with particular emphasis on the Verification, collection of revenue and management of Credit.
- Ensures that verification requests are verified and sent back to the client within the Turnaround time (TAT).
- Ensure accurate data on customer addresses verified
- Conduct regular reviews and visits to clients with outstanding loan portfolios at risk.
- To conduct physical visits to customer’s business and/or residential addresses for verification
- Ascertain the authenticity of certain facts.
- Advising customers on loan repayment management, preparing monitoring reports, managing customer portfolio
- Negotiate, set up and monitor payment arrangements in accordance with delegations and procedures.
- Using knowledge and initiative to reach amicable solutions to recovering debts from clients, taking into account circumstances of the case.
Qualifications
- Minimum of OND in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or any related discipline
- Young, smart, and hungry for achieving extraordinary results
- A strong believer in getting things done
- Should have a minimum of 1 year of experience in a debt recovery role, preferably with financial services or microfinance
- Should have investigative and persuasive skills
- Should have knowledge of recovery best practices and approach
- Effective in communication and reporting
