Under the supervision of the BI Team Manager, the Data Engineer is responsible for designing Lemay's data infrastructure. The Data Engineer will work with the team to track and deliver quality analytical solutions.

Job Description

What you’ll do

  • Implement the infrastructure required to extract, transform and input data from various sources;
  • Coordinate infrastructure maintenance and testing;
  • Maintain and optimize a storage environment for each data layer and oversee its governance;
  • Develop high-performance datasets for analysis and visualization purposes;
  • Manage the resolution of technical issues related to data infrastructures;
  • Monitor new trends and propose innovation and optimization solutions.

What you’ll need

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or any combination of relevant experience and/or education;
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in data system administration;
  • Experience using a Microsoft cloud service (Azure);
  • Developer experience using Microsoft tools (SSIS, ADF);
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL or Python for ETL processes;
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools (Power BI);
  • Knowledge of Power Query and DAX languages;
  • Excellent command of French and English, both oral and written;
  • Strong analytical skills, a quick learner;
  • Autonomous, creative problem-solver;
  • Agility and ability to work in a team.
