• Supporting the ongoing development of Horizon, Lely’s farm management solution, that is deployed to 10s of thousands of dairy farms across the globe
• Obtaining and maintaining an in-depth understanding of dairy farm business processes
• Implementing new features and maintaining the existing code base
• Improving the overall architecture of the Horizon application by for example modularization
• Identifying performance bottlenecks and implementing performance improvements
• Guaranteeing high code quality by for example performing code reviews and implementing unit tests
• Providing technical leadership to teammates through coaching and mentorship
• Participating in detailed project planning and design reviews
• Translating functional requirements into technical requirements
• Identifying and disseminating “best practice” in development and maintenance of applications and systems
• Writing technical documentation on implemented features and APIs

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related area
• Fluency in English both spoken and written is must (Dutch is a plus)
• Proficient with C#, ASP.NET Core, .Net Framework, .Net Core
• Experience working with RDBMS and NoSQL databases
• Excellent knowledge on RESTful API Development
• Familiarity with source control tools (git)
• Experience in building and maintaining CI/CD Pipelines
• Experience in Agile scrum software development process
• Experience with unit testing
• Experience with message brokers (RabbitMQ or Azure Service Bus) is a plus
• Knowledge about designing and engineering in cloud environments, such as Azure, AWS
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps is a plus
• Experience developing microservices is a plus
• Has strong desires to learn and explore new technologies, likes to research and ability to produce efficient solutions
• Collaborative team player, strong interpersonal skills
• High ability to following business processes and result-oriented
• Excellent analytical thinking and problem solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy
• Has no restriction to travel.
