As Manager Technical Service Support (TSS) Milking at Lely, you play an important role in innovating and improving the dairy farming sector. You lead a team of 26 employees divided into 3 teams, each with its own team lead. Together you provide global technical support to the 11 Lely Clusters and approximately 200 Lely Centers. You act as a point of contact for complex technical issues and incidents. You also provide data-driven input from the more than 50,000 robots installed worldwide and with a service-oriented approach to improve current products and set requirements for the (partial) products of the future. Developing TSS competences (such as maintenance, data and training) within the 'Milking' domain is essential.

As a manager of the TSS team, you convey a clear vision and make decisions when necessary. You work closely with other departments within the Milking Business Team to optimize technical support. In addition, together with the team leads, you strive for further professionalization within your own team in various areas, such as substantive and personal development of the teams, sustainable design of processes, further professionalization of the TSS role in projects and management of output. You act as the face of TSS Milking and ensure good cooperation with the Lely Clusters, Lely Centers and other (technical) departments within Lely to help colleagues find a solution at the farmer faster and better.

You are also part of the TSS MT, which also includes other managers from similar TSS teams. You represent your own team in creating the long-term strategy for TSS and its practical implementation through initiatives. For this challenging role we are looking for someone with a strong personality who maintains an overview and feels good in a very dynamic environment. We also think it is important that you do not lose sight of the team. We are also looking for the following qualities:

• A completed university education
• Broad understanding of technology (Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Software & Electronics)
• Managerial experience, preferably in a team in a technical environment
• People-oriented, able to provide a secure base
• Strong communication skills
• Very strong in terms of process and results oriented
• A real connector and good at providing direction
• Experience with a growing & changing environment (quantitative and qualitative)Command of the Dutch language or willingness to learn is a big plus.
