Job Description
Your role will see you primarily involves in the support and maintenance of a large enterprise environment spanning multiple locations, both within Australia and internationally. Reporting to the storage and data protection manager the responsibilities of this role will include but are not limited to, administering the storage solution, tuning system performance, installing system wide software, managing and maintaining capacity of the systems, and supporting storage hardware and software. Providing input into policies, procedures, and SOP’s relating to the management of the operational storage infrastructure. Interact with users and technical subject matter experts to ensure delivery is fit for purpose.
Follow defined ITSM processes including incident and problem analysis and management with technical issues. Perform post incident reviews and root cause analysis related to the technologies you’ll be supporting.
- Manage and maintain the ongoing operational requirements of the client and infrastructure relating to storage and data protection;
- Implement and test storage firmware and software upgrades;
- Design, implement and administer new storage infrastructure installations;
- Administration and management of CommVault;
- Perform NetApp and CommVault restore activities as requested
- Provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of varying scope and complexity;
- Reporting on Capacity usage
- Source and analyse relevant subject matter documentation;
- Contribute to IT support process and policy development;
- Ensure adherence to processes, procedures and security requirements;
- Ensure the IT support products and services provided to programs are of the highest quality that satisfy all regulatory and technical requirements;
- Any other duties as required.
Qualifications
Coupled with your education and practical experience, you will demonstrate a pro-active approach with the ability to understand the business, identify issues and develop relationships to achieve the company’s objectives. You will also have:
- Relevant certifications or professional membership relating to Netapp storage systems.
- Substantial professional experience working in a role within an engineering or project environment (preferably in a similar industry);
- Substantial experience with Netapp technologies and infrastructure is essential.
- Proven experience administering, configuring and managing large scale storage and data protection solutions using NetApp and CommVault;
- Proven experience in the use of AQUIM
- Substantial knowledge and application of a broad range of skills including software, systems and enterprise architecture, software and hardware engineering, interface protocols;
- Substantial experience working in a large enterprise environments

This role does require the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen and hold a Defence NV-1 or NV-2 level security clearance .
