Job Description
The role requires an experienced ITSM professional with a strategic mindset to support the Service Transition Lead and assist in the establishment of a mature Lifecycle Services practice. The role is responsible for leading Subject Matter Experts under an experienced leader to facilitate operational outcomes and alignment with SIAM processes.
Primary Responsibilities
- Management of the teams to ensure the agreed goals and deliverables are achieved to meet key performance indicators
- Assist in the coaching and development of a mature Service Management team to facilitate ‘as a service’ delivery methodologies
- Provide Professional Development support and drive SME capability skill uplifts
- Provide thought leadership and tactical direction in relation to ITSM capability needs specifically relating to:
- Lifecycle Services including decommissioning
- Release and Deployment Management including Risk Management
- Transition Planning and Support as Operations
- Continuity and Disaster Recovery
- Create, Update and Manage instructional artefacts relating to:
- Continuity Management
- Disaster Recovery Management
- Release and Deployment Management
- Transition Planning and Support
Qualifications
About You and What You’ll Bring
Required
- A proven ability as a team or operational leader in an enterprise environment
- A strong ability to work autonomously or with limited guidance towards defined outcomes
- Experience working with/within Operational teams to transition capabilities into service
- Proven problem-solving skills
- Exception analytical skills with attention to detail
- Demonstrated experience with uplifting or maturing ITSM process teams
- Highly experienced and ideally qualified in Service Management frameworks (ITIL) and their practical implementation
Desirable (not essential)
- Understanding of ITSM Operations and Engineering
- Good Industry awareness and understanding of Enterprise IT Technologies Infrastructures and their lifecycles
- Understanding of Project Management and/or Business Development
- Understanding of ServiceNow CRM tool
This role does require the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen and hold or be able to attain a minimum Defence NV-1 security clearance .
