Seeking a B1 LAME to join the Broome based Engineering team, with a lifestyle balanced roster of 6 days on 6 days off, at the entrance to the Kimberley region, offering an attractive remote allowance on top of wage.

Responsible to the Quality Manager and Head of Maintenance for the supervision and certification of aircraft maintenance on behalf of Airborne Solutions Australia Engineering.

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Hold safety as a core value and contribute to the achievement of a zero harm and incident/injury free environment through active participation in all safety programs relevant to the position
  • Perform the duties of a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer 
  • Ensure all aircraft maintenance, documentation and certification is carried out and completed in line with the MOE, procedures manuals and responsible CAMO requirements
  • Plan, distribute and oversee scheduled maintenance
  • Perform, implement and maintain any required shift / task handovers
  • Supervise maintenance personnel and support apprentices when required
  • Ensure all maintenance certified is carried out in line with maintenance data
  • Complex Maintenance Tasks are certified by an authorised Certifying Employee
  • Maintenance and associated maintenance records are completed & certified correctly by authorised Certifying Employee prior to CRS issue 
  • Ensure Critical Maintenance Tasks are completed with applicable control procedure prior to issue of a CRS
  • Ensure maintenance is completed, certified or deferred in line with the MOE prior to CRS issue
  • Responsible for the general condition, upkeep of the hangar and workshop
  • Compliance to the FRMS and WHSMSM policies and procedures
  • Perform any other duties as directed by the SBE

Reporting Relationship

  • The position reports directly to the Senior Base Engineer

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Experienced LAME B2 or dual licensed
  • Heavy and Line maintenance Experience
  • Able to attend a DHC8 Classic Type course if not already held

Desirable:

  • Confined Space training
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Forklift license
  • DHC8 Classic type rating
