Job Description

Your New Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to assist in business development activities for Leidos products and services in Australia with primary focus on Defence clients. The BDM would work towards identifying, qualifying and capturing new business opportunities and collaborate with the business area for growth of Leidos in Australia .

The key responsibilities: -

  • Customer Relationships - Establish and maintain enduring relationships with the clients and stakeholder to qualify and grow the Defence business at Leidos Australia.
  • Coordinate customer relationships critical to new business development including partnership development
  • Provide timely advise and suggest actions to ensure healthy and productive client relationships.
  • Market Analysis - Keep abreast with trends, emerging technologies and competitive threats to develop business development strategies and initiatives.
  • Industry Engagement - Participate in Industry events, conferences and meeting to partner and generate leads and promote Leidos offerings and services.
  • Identify New Business Opportunities -Identify and qualify opportunities for new business for Leidos, particularly with Service Headquarter minor projects Defence Capability & Sustainment Group for major projects
  • Strategic Planning- Provide input into current and long-range business strategies to enhance the Company’s position.
  • Process Conformation - Execute the Company’s business capture management processes and provide regular updates on business development activities to the executive leadership team along with customer trends and shifting of market focus.
  • Collaboration -Work collaboratively with other Business Development teams, Capture Managers, Technical Experts and delivery teams to build a strong cohesive approach to client proposals.

Qualifications

About You and What You'll Bring

To be successful in this, we are looking for a Business Development Manager who bring along below experience and skills

  • Comprehensive understanding of the defence industry and working knowledge and experience with the government procurement process and how to navigate efficiently through the process.
  • In-depth understanding of various Defence organizations and agencies.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills acquired through military service.
  • Respect for classified, sensitive or secret information when communicating with others.

Due to the nature of work we do for our customers, all applicants need to hold an existing NV-1 security clearance and be capable of upgrading to a NV-2 security clearance if required.
