Job Description

Your New Role

We are looking for an experienced senior systems administrator/engineer, to join our high performing, talented, multi-disciplinary infrastructure team sitting in the Chief Information Office (CIO) Services Group. The role will be multi-faceted and we are looking for a unique individual who is able to contribute broadly across the Australian business.

The role will focus on several key activities including but not limited to:

  • Ticket Management Resolution
  • Monitoring Management Resolution
    • Use PRTG/Splunkto check for outages, identify and implement monitoring for identified gaps
  • Virtualisation Management
    • Compute, storage, networking
  • Compute Infrastructure Management
    • VM builds, decommision, resolving of failures
  • Server Management
    • Vulnerability investigation and resolution
  • Data Centre Activities
  • SCCM Management
  • InTune deployments of Android and iOS updates
  • Operating System deployments, support and management

This role does require the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen.

Qualifications

About You and What You'll Bring

This role is acting as an escalation point within our Chief Information Office, so as such, we're looking for someone that is comfortable handling time sensitive tasks, had good prioritisation skills and able to communicate well within a key stakeholder environment.

Some of the other technical skills we're looking for:

  • Knowledge of Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, Storage, Identity and Access Management (IAM), and monitoring tools are essential.
  • M365 administration consisting of Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business and Teams.
  • On premise infrastructure. Designing, deploying, and managing server architecture located in  in-house data centres. Knowledge of HPE, DEL, EMC and core switching technologies essential.
  • Expertise in Windows server administration, including installation, configuration, patch management (SCCM), and troubleshooting are essential.
  • Experience with monitoring tools such Splunk, SNOW & PRTG or Azure Monitor, along with logging solutions like, Azure Monitor Logs, or AWS CloudWatch Logs.
  • Understanding of security best practices, including encryption, identity management, access control, network security, and compliance standards such as (ACSC) Essential Eight.
