Job Description

You will be part of a team of SharePoint System administrators and developers supporting a customised SharePoint environment with multiple third part products including Nintex, PowerBI, NC Protect, and Amrein web parts as well as significant bespoke customisations.

Your primary role will be the Support and Maintenance of a SharePoint 2019 environment and associated third party products including Incident and Problem investigation as well as patching and other maintenance activities. You will also conduct support activities to existing platform solutions to meet business needs on business critical and highly visible projects.

You will be working closely with internal stakeholders and developers to understand their requirements and then assist the development team to implement solutions.

This role will see you:

  • Install, configure, test, document and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools in alignment with Defence Change Management processes
  • Install and configure SharePoint infrastructure
  • Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
  • Plan and design improvements to SharePoint performance
  • Assist in developing design structures and tools for systems which meet business needs and takes into account target environment, performance & security requirements and existing systems. Deliver technical visualisation of proposed applications for approval by customer and execution by system developers
  • Assist the developers in translating logical designs into physical designs, and produce detailed design documentation. Map work to user specification and remove errors and deviations from specification to achieve user-friendly processes.

We're happy to work with you to upskill your SharePoint knowledge, if you have the necessary clearance, attitude and core of Systems Administration skills within an ITIL environment, we encourage you to apply.

Essential to your success will be some form of knowledge or awareness of:

  • SharePoint 2019 (required)
  • Supporting SharePoint Server Subscription Edition (desirable)
  • Maintenance and Support of Nintex, NC Protect, and Amrein Web Parts (desirable)
  • Microsoft stack knowledge (AD, .Net, SQL) (desirable)
  • Change, Incident, Problem, and other ITIL processes

Please note the successful candidate will be an Australian Citizen with a NV2 or higher Security Clearance.
